Céline D’Arcy

Registered Midwife

I am originally from Montreal area (Quebec), where I was raised and did majority of my studies.  Before entering the midwifery program, I studied biological sciences at l’Université de Montréal.  During the same period, I had my first child whose birth experience was under midwifery care.  My childbirth experience was so empowering for me that I reoriented my career to become a midwife.  My goal is to offer the same experience to women and their families as my experience.

To make my dream become reality, in 1997, my family decided to move to Sudbury to be part of the Midwifery Education Program at Laurentian University.  During the following four years, I completed my clinical placements all over Ontario including Sudbury, Toronto and Ottawa.

I graduated from the Midwifery Education Program in 2001.  I did my first year as a midwife in Sudbury. Then, I established and started my practice in Cornwall which grew into three clinic sites (Cornwall, Winchester and Embrun).  I am proud to offer my services in English as well as in French.  I am looking forward to share with you and your family your birth experience.
